I was looking for info on Hammerhead sharks because I cut out an article about a shark attack in St. Pete Beach, Florida the other day that killed someone. I didn't know hammerhead sharks were that aggressive. It was in 5 ft. of water and it happened wh re I was vacationing earlier in August. I live in Indiana and I've always been scared to get in the ocean ever since I saw "Jaws." Do you know anything about this?

I enjoyed reading about the shark attacks ,especially the one New Jersey Rogue Shark. I live in New Jersey,Beach Haven is only about 45 minutes from my house. I had heard stories about that 1916 attack and now I know It's no lie. I will still be swimming at the Jersey shore though.

There is something I am greatly interested in. Have you ever heard of the Tanzini Shark? I was watching the Discovery Channel the other day, and they had an hour long show about this shark, which has supposedly attacked more people throughout the years than all other sharks included. Now, I am interested in learning more about this shark. Hav you heard anything about it? Check it out.

What is the highest number of recorded shark attack fatalities so far in 2000 in any single country. I know of two in 3 months in just one location in Kenya, East Africa. There were also more last year, plus non fatal attacks. Why is this happening? Is it because the Zambezi basin is being polluted and sharks are moving north to breed? Are bull sharks probably responsible? Kenya is a hot spot!!! plus a cool country. As a surfer i have a keen interest. Knowledge reduces fear.

this site sounds good; haven't read everything yet; i'm getting very interested into sharks; i'm french, and there, you just don't worry about sharks when you are in the sea; this problem really doesn't exist; there were only one or two attacks on humans in the past 50 years and noone talks about it: too bad for tourism, anyway. but it's hard to get infos about sharks here. well, you did a very good job on this site......all the best

Good site but disagree about tigers not been seen alot . We reef fish (which atracts) the southern end of great barrier reef reguly & often have 10 to 15 foot tigers come to the boat . Very curious fish ,check the boat out then disappear under the boat to steal the fish . They only take the best fish to !
